In the first quarter of this year, Shandong’s agricultural exports were 91.1 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5% over the same period last year, accounting for 23.9% of the country’s total agricultural exports, accounting for an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the same period last year. Vegetables have been the main export commodities of Shandong Province in recent years. As daily necessities, vegetable consumption has been relatively less affected by the epidemic. Relying on the large-scale advantages of vegetable cultivation and long-term stable international cooperation in Shandong Province, in the first two quarters, vegetable export volume and export value increased by 8.2% and 7.1% respectively, and the contribution rate to the province’s agricultural exports in the first three quarters reached 38. %.
This year, in response to the decline in foreign orders and the decline in export volume during the epidemic, Shandong has guided agricultural product processing companies to stabilize their corporate confidence and leverage platform carriers to open up the international market. Encourage agricultural product export companies to use multiple channels such as international exhibitions and marketing networks to promote the diversification of export markets. At the same time, we will play the role of a demonstration zone for the quality and safety of exported agricultural products, increase the added value of exported agricultural products, and continuously meet the needs of foreign markets.
